- Escalators that are inclined (easier to take a grocery cart on)
- No walking on escalators
- Walk on the left side of the sidewalk, just like driving
- You can buy lottery tickets on the sidewalk, or from someone carrying them in a briefcase
- Bread in stores is limited to bakery items or a small shelf of sliced bread. Mostly all white bread.
- Eggs are not refrigerated
- Iced drinks are carried in plastic bags
- No chopsticks. Food is served with a fork and a large spoon.
- Tables in restaurants have tissues for blowing your nose (hot food)
- An “American Breakfast” also comes with one chicken nugget (with sauce)
- Walk signals are only at LARGE intersections
- Very few garbage cans. What’s up with that.
- No alcohol served or purchased between 2-5pm every day.
