My travel adventure begins

It all started when I was considering retiring and trying to figure out what the rest of my life would look like in that new reality. It had to be something that was challenging, engaging and provided adventure. One thing I had always wanted to do was live in another country for a time. Because Portugal was on my bucket list, I did research and decided that I would move there for a year or so and travel around from there. That would be my next big adventure.

Long story, short…I decided that instead of living in one place for a year or more, I would try the nomadic lifestyle, staying from days to months in a place or area at a time. So, I sold everything, packed a small carry-on and a backpack and headed out to see the world!

FAQ’s

Send me a message if you have a question you would like an answer to that is not addressed below.

No. Since I will be traveling 4-5 months at a time, it didn’t make sense to keep a residence in the states. I will be staying with friends when I’m home.

No, I sold everything but a couple of bins that hold extra clothing to use when I go back home. I’ve been downsizing for years and this seemed like the next best step. Very freeing to not own a bunch of stuff.

Since I knew WHEN I planned to start traveling (January), I looked at places that I could go to that would have the best weather. SE Asia fit that bill.
