Traveling the world one step at a time.

It all started when I was considering retiring and trying to figure out what the rest of my life would look like in that new reality. It had to be something that was challenging, engaging, and provided adventure. One thing I had always wanted to do was live in another country for a time. Because Portugal was on my bucket list, I did research and decided that I would move there for a year or so and travel around from there. That would be my next big adventure.

Long story, short…I decided that instead of living in one place for a year or more, I would try the nomadic lifestyle, staying from days to months in a place or area at a time. So, I sold everything, packed a small carry-on and a backpack, and headed out to see the world!

The journey is often times difficult and challenging, but it is always worth it!

Would LOVE to have friends and family join me at different points in my journey!

FAQ’s

You are welcome to contact me with any questions.

Do you have a home base in the US?

No. Since I will be traveling 4-5 months at a time, it didn’t make sense to keep a residence in the states. I will be staying with friends when I’m home.

Did you put anything in storage?

No, I sold everything but a couple of bins that hold extra clothing to use when I go back home. I’ve been downsizing for years and this seemed like the next best step. Very freeing to not own a bunch of stuff.

How did you decide where to go first?

Since I knew WHEN I planned to start traveling (January), I looked at places that I could go to that would have the best weather. SE Asia fit that bill.
