n just two days, I’m leaving Seattle and heading to Bangkok, Thailand — the start of a dream that’s been a couple of years in the making. The excitement is building, but so is the nervousness. I’m about to step into the unknown, and while part of me feels a little scared, another part is bursting with anticipation.
Leaving home is bittersweet. I will miss my family and friends (especially my grandsons), but I’m hoping people will be able to join me on the various llegs of my journey.
Bangkok will be the first stop on this journey, and I can’t wait to dive into its energy, culture, and chaos. Guessing I will feel a bit lost and will at some point be wondering what the heck I was thinking to jump into this adventure.
It’s time to go. The world awaits, and I’m ready to embrace it. ✈️🌍
I am looking forward to hearing all the new vocabulary and language that you learn. that should be fun.
So far it’s been limited. However, I did have to learn the Thai words for “little spicy.”
You are an inspiration! I’m only 6 days into my retirement, and already you have me thinking bigger.
Go out there and do it! Just let me know where you are headed and maybe we can connect on the road.
